A start-up's best defense (and offense) is a good IP strategy.
Every startup must address its IP at some point. The question is when? If you ignore your IP questions at the early stages, you do it at your financial peril. An early IP strategy that honestly addresses your goals and budget will protect your business in the long run.
For this month’s Hanson Bridgett Legal Huddle, come hear Arman
Javid, attorney at Hanson Bridgett, Alan Gunshor, Co-founder of Catzilla and Craig Flax, Founder and CEO of
Good Things Green and the former EVP of Marketing at Flax Art &
Design, speak about how to negotiate term sheets for convertible notes
and equity investments. They’ll share their experiences and legal
expertise with you to address how to prepare an early IP strategy and some common IP mistakes of start-ups.
